Supporting Dementia Care Beyond the Walls of Memory Care

An independent living community can be so much more than a place to live—it can be a place where residents and their families feel supported through every stage of life. That’s why developing a relationship with Ember Holistic Care can be such a valuable resource for an independent living community.

Dementia doesn’t always mean a resident needs to leave independent living. Someone in the early stages may continue to thrive in their familiar environment with the right education, support, and individualized plan in place. Ember can work alongside the resident, family, and community to help identify needs early, provide guidance, and create strategies that promote safety, independence, and quality of life.

Our support can also extend to residents who are caregivers themselves. For example, a spouse may live in independent living while their partner resides in a memory care community. Even though they live in separate buildings, the emotional, practical, and caregiving responsibilities can be overwhelming. Ember can provide education, guidance, advocacy, and ongoing support to help that spouse navigate the changes that dementia brings—while also helping them remain engaged in their own life and community.

We can serve as an additional layer of support for residents, families, and staff—helping identify concerns early, educating those affected by dementia, connecting families with resources, and providing individualized guidance as needs change.

Together, we can create a stronger support system that allows residents and their families to feel informed, empowered, and cared for throughout the journey.

Dementia Education for Family Caregivers

Do you know a family caregiver who could use more understanding, guidance, and support on their dementia journey? Please share this upcoming presentation with them! This is a great opportunity for family caregivers to learn practical ways to better support their loved one, understand dementia, and connect with valuable community resources. Sometimes, simply having the right information and knowing they’re not alone can make all the difference.

Whether you're looking to:

  • Schedule a dementia education presentation for your organization or community group,

  • Provide comprehensive dementia training for your staff to improve the care and support they deliver (we can provide CEUS), or

  • Begin one-on-one consulting services for yourself and your loved one living with dementia, we are here to meet you where you are.

At Ember Holistic Care, we believe no caregiver should have to navigate dementia alone. We provide practical education, personalized guidance, and compassionate support that empowers families and care teams to confidently face each stage of the dementia journey.

Don't wait until you're in crisis to seek support. Building your care team early can reduce caregiver stress, improve quality of life, and help your loved one continue to thrive.
